Background
A turn-key MMIS was provided to SWFWMD, which included a requirements definition effort, leading to the installation of a dedicated local area network at the General Services Department for support of the MMIS. The project was divided into three phases: database design, database preparation and installation/testing/training/ support. These phases included systematic identification, data collection and recording of all real property, facilities, facility-related equipment, maintenance procedures, tools and materials; uploading of inventory and maintenance standards to the MMIS database; and the linking of maintenance standards and intervals to equipment end items.
